This Museum was established in the year 2001. It started with exhibiting the permanent collection owned by its director, Eduardo Constantini. MALBA aims at promoting Latin American art in all its fields. Constantini bequeath his post- modern works to the gallery that take on a journey of Spanish American art. It shows the beginning of his avant- garde movement at the turn of the century to the present.

The collection is arranged in such a way so as to expose the similarities as well as the differences between the artists, other than in chronological order. There are workshops, children activities, temporary exhibitions and work experience for students.

The Eduardo F. Costantini Foundation was established in 1995 to run cultural, educational and development projects. It is a private, non- profit organization formed in accordance with article 33 of the Civil Code and within the terms of Law 19,836. In 1997, the Eduardo F.
