Once this museum was the summer home to the Italian Lezama family. It contains beautiful gardens and a huge porch decorated with old canoes.

This museum is one of the oldest and most important in the entire country. Its 33 rooms and three galleries display dozens of items about the history of Argentina all in the chronological order. Some items features personal belongings from explorers and conquerors, swords, Juan de Garay's land maps, belongings from Jesuit missionaries, indigenous art, Spanish flags captured in the Suipacha Battle and in Montevideo in 1814, uniforms, honorary medals and furniture of Gral.

It aims to become a leader that communicates and reflects the historical reality. It offers an ample range of services of high quality.

On 1st December 1969, this important building was declared as the National monument. Since then it prepared to lodge all the historical collections.

Hours : 12p- 6 pm Tue- Sun.
Guided tours: 3 pm Sat- Sun
Entrance is free.
