The City

Located on the south part of Rio de la Plata, the city of Buenos Aires is considered the largest city of the whole Argentina. It was originally named Nostra Signora di Bonaria. The Independence Day in Argentina was named Nueve de Julio Avenue.

In Buenos Aires, they speak the language Rioplatense Spanish which is characterized by yeismo and voseo. These dialects are popularly spoken in Murcia and Andalusia. Over the years, lots of immigrants came to Argentina and most of them are Italians who speaks their local dialect which includes Sicilian, Genoan and Neapolitan. Since the Spanish language was adopted gradually, a combination of Spanish and Italian language was created called cocoliche.

Education in Buenos Aires

One of the top learning universities in South America is located in Buenos Aires. This is the University of Buenos Aires. It not only grants scholarships deserving students around the world but was also about to produce 5 Nobel Prize winners.  Buenos Aires has excelled in different field of studies and top of it is the field of Psychoanalysis. As a symbol of national learning, young students in public schools in wears white uniforms.
