Thoughts on a warm spring evening

It’s early, by Argentinean standards.  Not even 9pm.  I’ve just finished eating dinner alone, a dinner consisting of a chickpea and tomato salad, followed by fusilli with pesto di rucola (more on that tomorrow).  I’ve washed it down with some of the good Cabernet Sauvignon of Mendoza, Argentina.  I’m in a bit of a Cab phase these days, in terms of grapes. I’ve just cleaned up and I am alone in the large kitchen.  Though it’s only spring, the nights are getting warmer and more pleasant.  There’
