Club Alemán de Equitación

The German Riding Club was founded in 1915 and has been the venue for the challenging Derby General San Martín. It is adjacent to the Lagos de Palermo (Palermo Lakes Golf Club) and has fences and a running track along with natural obstacles such as ponds and poles.

Often cultural events and exchanges take place here. Their equestrian school trains for jumping, eventing, dressage, riding and vaulting (acrobatics on horseback). Equine exhibitions also take place here and are free to the public. The classes are affordable and available even for the non- members.

This competition which is of the maximum prestige in the South America usually flocks about 8,000 spectators and is telecasted directly by the open TV and through cable. The sport receives great importance through massive and specialized mass media of the whole country.
