The Palace San Martin is located in front of the Seat San Martin. Being the formal headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, this building was the residence of the Anchorena family.

The main entrance is on Arenales street, with a huge iron and bronze bar facade, in Bourbon style. In general, the building is considered the model adopted by the richest estates in the country at the turn of the century. The Palace also has a library specialized in International Law, history of Foreign relations, World History and World geography with more than 60,000 volumes for research, even in languages other than Spanish.

The Palace San Martin is national historical monument. It has interiors decorated by the works of Argentine and American artists of XX century like Antonio Berni, Pablo Curatella Manes, Linen Enea Spilimbergo and Roberto Matta among others.

It also contains the art collection of Pre- Columbian Art of the Argentina Chancellery with pieces of ceramics, stones and metals of cultures of the northwest of their country like San Francisco, Bog, Watered down and Santa Maria. The library is specialized in international right and history of the international relations.
